Loosely translated as "Travel Notes of a Stock Market Professional", my German book series has turned into a bit of a niche bestseller.

It's also turned out to be a superb networking and fundraising tool. Networking - because I regularly hosted small evenings for readers. Many an interesting contact, stemmed from those sociable meetings and plenty of useful investment ideas too (which is why I was always happy to put so much effort into finding a suitable location, organizing the event, and picking up the tab). Fundraising - because I had a specialist bookbinder produce a special edition that was then sold off to fund my Galapagos Islands charity project. The sale of 200 copies raised $120,000, which funded the start of a vocational school.

Scheduled to be published in Autumn 2010, my first book in English will be a mixture of travel reports about exotic places (that more often than not are off-the-beaten-path), general investment wisdom - of the kind that helped me make money and - crucially! - new investment ideas that I guarantee you will not be able to find anywhere else.

After all, the book's content should pay back the book's purchase price many times over.

Else, it would not have been a good investment book!
