Investing in Hong Kong:

Generational opportunity or value trap?

INVESTOR TRIP TO HONG KONG

29 - 30 April 2024

Out-of-favour market

Does Hong Kong provide a generational investment opportunity, or is it a value trap?

Stocks of Hong Kong companies are as out-of-favour as they haven't been in ages. Some stocks are trading at half the valuation metrics of their historical average.

Hong Kong might just be transitioning to a new way of operating, though. Westerners may not like the idea, but Hong Kong could continue to thrive under its new Chinese regime.

Politics and economics are forever intertwined in the Hong Kong debate, and it's both a controversial and fascinating subject.

Does Hong Kong provide a generational investment opportunity, or is it a value trap?

12 Undervalued-Shares.com readers, Michael Fritzell (author of Asian Century Stocks) and myself set out to explore.

Over two packed days of hands-on, real-life research, we got a deeper understanding of the Hong Kong market, looked at several promising companies, and enjoyed some networking with like-minded individuals.
